Luke Easter - Abraham or Thomas?

Abraham or Thomas, two opposing views,
In kingdom principles, which one are you?
Hailing from Missouri, the show me state?
Or, is there sincerity walking only by faith?

There is such a thing as the Faith Hall of Fame,
Moses, Joshua, Caleb are just a few of the names,
Numbers chapter 13, to believe God ten did refuse,
And they caused the death of over 2 million Jews.

Is your faith like Abraham, trusting in God’s word?
Thomas had to see first, not believing what he heard,
Which will the Lord honor, as the other is cast aside,
1 is besieged by truth,1 is plagued with foolish pride.

So, whose name is mentioned most in bible scripture?
Between them, tell me the one that’s a positive picture?
Stop for a minute in your life, taking a good look around,
Abraham or Thomas, where are you likely to be found?

As long as you continue to walk only by what you see,
You’ll never experience the reward and taste the victory,
Why is there an epidemic of a monster bearing initials HIV?
Well, it’s impossible to tell by looking who has the disease.

Easy to have faith when it’s directly in front of your eyes,
And when you are the one that’s in control of the surprise,
Sure the pain’s hurtful and the financial distress is for real,
Faith is standing on the word of God, not by how you feel.

If by chance it’s the latter, how come you’re still there?
Blessings are waiting but don’t look for life to be fair,
There is one and only one way to receive the promise,
You need the faith of Abraham, not the faith of Thomas.
