Luke Bushen - My Wall
7 Views • Jun 13, 2014
Description
Thousands of miles long and a couple yards thick.
Deep in depth; high in height;
Long in length, stretching far beyond sight.
Yet there stood a man, with hammer and chisel,
Pounding away at the wall towards the middle.
I watched him work from day to day,
The days stretched to weeks which led me to say,
“What could this man be working for?
What makes his back and muscles sore? ”
But then as I watched the man broke through the wall
And in the land beyond was nothing at all.
No sign of water, mountains of trees.
All was plain white as far as the eye could see.
Yet there was no darkness, the white was untainted,
Like a painting canvas where no one had painted.
Totally pure, without imperfection
Not even a shadow in any direction.
I’d never seen a place of this kind,
And it was in that moment I made up my mind.
Since than, I’ve broke through my wall,
I hope the same is done by all.
