Luis Enrique: "There is no Leo Messi case"

Sant Joan Despí (Spain), 21 Nov (EFE).- Barcelona manager Luis Enrique Martínez denied Friday that a "Leo Messi case" exists, after recent comments by the Argentine opened the door to a hypothetical exit, and preferred to refer to star forward's words that he "loves" playing at the club.



"I have always heard him say that he loves playing at Barcelona. I prefer not to speculate. I believe the message that he is pleased with playing here," the coach stressed Friday.



In the press conference on the eve of their league game against Sevilla to be played Saturday (20:00 local time, 19:00 UTC), Luis Enrique also talked about the Gerard Piqué's situation, after the chairman, Josep María Bartomeu, admitted that the club had spoken to the player about certain non-football questions.



Luis Enrique was somewhat enigmatic in his reaction to Bartomeu's comments, describing them as "fantastic" although adding "we manage things, we control them, but in no case do we make them public."
