Description
The time had come to end your stay,
One that lasted from August to May,
First came pain then I’d be gay,
Bought you all the things you’d need,
All the doctor’s words I had heed,
You were like a growing seed,
And my bad habits were like weed,
Time had come to let you out,
You were here there was no doubt,
Promised myself I wouldn’t shout,
Neither would you see me pout
Something had gone terribly wrong,
Tried my best to be quite strong,
We’d been one for just too long,
You had become my sad song
All my friends have come to pray,
To try and brighten my dark day,
To bring a little peace my way
But to me it’ll never be okay
My arms are empty, my heart still breaks
For death still roams and often takes
The ones we love and can’t forsake
My empty arms carry a still birth
