Louie Levy - Celerity
3 Views • Jun 14, 2014
Description
Can you not see our crippling,
sorrow and pain?
We've but a mere breath of happiness
to pace with your haste...
Feel the legs of our spirit given way
to our efforts, the eyes of our past
blinding our way to the future.
How cruel is your wake
engulfing us with your speed
Stripping us of the raiment of youth
Laid withered and naked, with only
the reminiscence of mere morsels of joy.
Mercilessly left with only skeletal fragments
of our existence, buried in the dust,
piled high by your celerity
Are you God's heartbeat...'Time' -
Without pause and, nor destination?
Cleverly obscuring our vision of you
Left unprepared, en route, with but only -
A scarce 'Backpack' of your 'Time'
for our life's voyage...
