I’m tired of falling in love,
And getting my heart broken.
I’m tired of being quiet,
While my soul remains unspoken.
You told me that you loved me
I knew it was a lie.
But I really do love you
Sometimes I forget why.
You said “just for the moment”
Which I knew wasn’t true.
You seem so happy without me,
But I’m dying without you.
Why do I retain this hope?
Like a child on Christmas day.
Thinking you’ll come back
And this time decide to stay.
Now I’m back to being lonely
Missing people who don’t want to be missed.
While my tears stain my cheeks
Cause I miss the softness of your kiss.
Why do I feel like this?
Why don’t you want me?
I know you never loved me
Cause if you did you’d never leave
