Lost My New Camera - Camera Mount Fail

This morning I set out to record some footage with my new camera, mounted on the rear of the bike. Like a complete idiot, I dropped it resulting in damaging the mounting clip. I mounted the camera anyway and it felt like it should be okay. I was wrong.
Somewhere out on the road it fell off.

The camera is a SJ1000, a cheap £60 action camera, so it's not like I've lost a Go-Pro.

Learn from my mistake, people! Don't use a camera with damaged fixings without extra security!
