Lorry Driver Ploughs Into Five Vehicles

Martin Gibson, 54, was driving along the A46 near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warks., on May 21 last year when he crashed into a slow-moving lane of traffic. Dash-cam footage taken from inside the 44-tonne truck shows the horrific moment the driver slammed into the back of the cars, smashing them across the road. The vehicles' glass can be seen shattering following the devastating impact of the collision before the lorry eventually pulls up at the side of the single carriageway. A court heard the drivers of the other mangled vehicles were left with serious injuries, some life-changing, following the mass pile-up.
