Lorene Kinsey - Turning Two

Leaves of green are turning fast
Another wonderful year has passed
Bigger now than the one before
Learning everyday more and more.
This year coming, I promise to
More gently touch, what belongs to you
And when you are not looking
My fingers will find
Whatever I may believe is mine
And quickly now, I will snatch and run
Should you catch me sneaking into fun.
And if the urge to climb should pass,
Don’t you worry, mommy, I promise
To grasp, but please don’t scream
If I should be, very high or I might leap.
I’m looking forward to a special year,
So let’s celebrate with laughter and cheer.
