Lorena Walker - Innocence

you have scarred me

with this truth

that i will forever be haunted by you

i was a virgin, an innocent child

of only 10 years old

i have yet to bleed

but now i have this reminder

of what i told you not to do

in my underwear

and now i can not sleep

without my blankets wrapped tightly around me

and it is such a hot summer.
