Lonnie Hicks - Right

She would lie down in the blizzard snow
to make snow angels-
her arms stretched wide-
her legs spread.

She walked up to the robber
and touched his gun
and said 'don't.'

She stopped a bar fight
by getting up on the bar
whispering 'stop.'

She made the three point shot
at the half-time 3-point contest.

Still cries in movies;
has all of her stuffed animals
and her blanket from childhood.

Knows the names of every boy-band
and spent the summer reading
Webster's Unabridged International Dictionary.


Learned Arabic from her roommate-
one semester-they still talk..

She is not pretty,
but she is funny.

She is not particularly sexy-
more tom-boyish.

Her secret:
She genuinely likes people
and they reciprocate.

She has a ferret for a pet.

She and her mother sometimes
dress alike.

Golfs with her Dad every month.

Never forgets a face;
remembers most names.

Sings badly;
no terribly;
but confidently
and loudly
in the bathroom.

Flirts with ugly guys
because they need love too.

Has a girlfriends club
which does nothing but
read steamy passages
from novels to each other
on the phone.

She holds the record
for Mario Brother's Three at the Arcade.

Rode the mechanical bull at
Lou Ann's by cheating.

Eats snickers candy bars for breakfast.

Started an 'Old ladies Club'
to get boyfriends
for women over sixty.

She doesn't seem real
does she?

Right.
