life’s too hard
and I’m too weak
I find no reason
yet still i speak

what is my sin?
why do i ache?
my spirit trembles
and my body shakes

drained of hope,
i lay me down.
at the mercy of god
reassurance not found

awaiting my hell
i sit and i fade.
sulfuric smell
invading my space.

this is my fate
written before time.
to be devoured by self,
and have nothing divine.
