Load Unloaded: Homework banned for classes 1 & 2

The education ministry has now issued fresh directives to the schools to not give homework to students of classes 1 and 2 and the centre has also asked the school to ensure that the weight of the school bags does not exceed limit. As per the instructions, the schools or the institution cannot assign home work to students of classes 1 and 2. The instructions also include that the students should not be asked to bring additional books, extra materials and the weight of the school bag should not exceed the prescribed limit. The prescribed limit for school bags for class 1 and 2 should not exceed 1.5 kg while the weight of the school bags of class 3 to 5 should weigh between 2kg to 3 kg.
