Lizzie Resendiz - Broken Stairs

you see a pair
of broken stairs
does it lead, somewhere
is it really there
you try ans try
to figure out why
you risk it all
knowing you could fall
take careful steps
try not to slip
slowly crawl
hold onto the wall
you hear the creeks
you start to freak
calm you must stay
or lose your way
you look and look
the wrong path you took
broken stairs
lead no where
