Watch this shocking video of a wild anole lizard with not one but two tails.
Bryan Lopez, a zookeeper from Florida, USA, found this bizarre lizard by accident. He spotted this wild anole lizard with a split tail.
You can see in the video the lizard perched peacefully on his hand while he shows the unique split tail to the camera.
Bryan said: “Anoles can regrow tails, but sometimes the regrowth splits, creating rare double tails like this.
“This happens after tail autotomy, a survival adaptation seen in many reptiles.
“However, this lizard never lost its previous tail, and now a second tail grew at perfect length!
“Now you see what people call ‘mermaid tail lizard’, ‘pokemon’, ‘little dragon’, and many other names!”
