Liow defends direct negotiation in VEP project
Description
Former Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai has defended the direct negotiation process in awarding the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) contract, saying that the selection process was transparent. He added that the company chosen had fulfilled criteria set by the previous government.
Liow was asked to appear before the Public Accounts Committee to explain on the matter on Wednesday.
