Link Between Fracking and Seismic Activity Pinpointed

Eight U.S. states that usually report low seismic activity -Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico, and Colorado- now show significantly higher levels, a five-fold increase. These states, despite their different geographical locations, are all characterized by being home to fracking activity. In other news, a map issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) indicates recorded levels of seismic activity worldwide.
