When you look at me
What do you see?
A teenage girl
With a heart filled with hope
A smile that brightens a cloudy day
Eyes that sparkle with joy

When you look at me
What do you see?
A teenage girl who is growing up
too fast.
With a broken heart
A smile that is forced
And eyes that glisten no more.

Are these two separate girls
Or just one who has lost all hope
One who was once happy
When you look at me
What do you see? ?
