Description
Saline eyes drift along the shore
Somehow asking for a muse once more
They fall upon
A barren rock
Another image I keep in stock.
Ample memories, words, and pictures
All of which make life’s elixirs
Meant for those
Who need a drink
From the depths of nature’s sink.
I stow away another file card
Watch in envy while its charred
Toss myself
Into the sand
Feel the wet drip through my hand.
The greatest gift to all mankind
Is merely what we ourselves can find
So get your camera
Or your sketchbook
And capture how the singing seas look.
