Lima municipality fires more than 3,000 workers

The municipality of Lima, the capital of Peru, fired more than 3,000 workers without prior notification. Trade unions and workers say this is a consequence of the neo-liberal system adopted by Peruvian administrations during the past three decades. They expect President Ollanta Humala to fulfill his campaign promise to put an end to these practices against labor rights. teleSUR
