Lily Law - The Mask

I felt my face weighed
by a filigree white mask
with a embroidered smile
that show
no sorrow
no anger
no hatred
no envy
no resentment
no fear
but just a pure happiness
I could feel
as time ticked away
the mask became as one with the soul
as breath stolen silently
the mask began to poison the mind
as light faded slowly
the mask started to conquer the heart
and I knew
at the end of the period
no trace could be found
nothing was left behind
but only the white mask
continue to roam this realm
spreading its supremacy
