Lily Faust - Chasing the Setting Sun

I have to go away
and see the sun set somewhere else.
We all have the same sun
but those eyes that see the setting sun are different.
My eyes see not the same as theirs, therefore
I have to go away and change my eyes
to see their setting sun
over warm blue oceans and fertile hills
over cold dark mountains and arid waste
over waving prairie and tranquil forest
over glittering ice caps and sparkling seas.
I have to go away
but do not miss me as I go,
for though I leave to chase the setting sun
I will return to watch it rise again with you.
