Lil Davis - Puppet Show

Pull their strings to make your puppets dance.
manipulate them, then let them fall to the ground.
Walk silently away as the curtains close.

Take away my love
Take away my hope
Make me hard hearted and cold.
Show me how to put up my defences.

Make my walls high and strong.
So high that even you can't get in.
I wont keep hurting myself by looking for love I cant find.
I give up, I give in.

You made me dance when you pulled my strings.
Silly puppet I am.
Cut me lose, cut my ties.
This puppet show is about to close.
I was the main star I suppose.

You taught me so well at the end.
Close yourself down. don't let the pain in.
Get what you can, take what you will.
Let yourself be used and you use them.
The circle has no end.

I watch you walk away as the curtains close.
