Lil Davis - Emotions (1992)

A world of darkenss, a place full of shadows.
Hiding behind my mask of happiness, my soul slowly dies.
I cry but I'm not sure why.

Emotions forever changing from warm and happy to cold and blue.
Wanting to live for tomorrow then deciding I dont want to.

Feeling invisible like a ghost from the past.
My mood swings and I have to put up my warning mast.
I call for help but my cries fall on deaf ears.
My deluding smile turns into salty tears.

Life still goes on with or without me.
I'm hurting inside but nobody seems to be able to see.
Unable to decide on what road to follow,
My life begins to look bleak and hollow.

Looking into the future I see the end.
Maybe I will find something better around the next bend.
I realise this is just another bad time.
I know that soon I will turn back to normal and it will be happy me that you will hopefully find.
And towards you I will be kind
