Life sentence for stiletto murder
Description
Ana Trujillo has been sentenced to life in prison for stabbing her boyfriend with the five and a half inch heel of her shoe.
The Texan woman said she never wanted to kill Stefan Andersson and acted in self-defence after an alcohol-fueled night out last year.
But Andersson was struck at least 25 times in the neck and the face inside his Houston flat.
During this trial several witnesses testified the 45 year old woman was prone to unprovoked violence, while drinking.
Trujillo had been found guilty of the murder on Tuesday.
Jurors had to decide whether she had committed a crime of passion, which meant that she could have received no more than 20 years in prison.
But after four hours deliberating on the sentence, they sentenced her to life in prison.
