Liege in mourning after shooting
Description
The Belgian city of Liege in a state of shock.
A day after a lone gunman went on a murderous rampage, residents here are in mourning.
The killer, identified by Belgian media as 32 year old Nordine Amrani, opened fire and threw explosives into a crowd on Tuesday afternoon before turning his weapon on himself.
At least four people were killed and over 100 were injured.
Witnesses say Amrani began his rampage at about 12.30pm near a bus stop at Place Saint Saint Lambert, site of Liege's bustling Christmas market.
Bullet holes in a nearby bakery show how gunfire was sprayed throughout the area.
Residents said it was previously unthinkable that such violence could happen here.

"One simply couldn't imagine something like this happening. It made me think about what happened in Norway with the man on the island. If he had been able to use the other magazines on his weapons, he would have done so. It's a huge problem as there wasn't a single policeman around here at the at the time."
A sign at a memorial at the site of the rampage asks a simple question - "why?".
Amrani's motives remain unclear, although police have ruled out terrorism.
