The radio cries.
Murder Suicide.


The pumping of my chest,
The blare of a heart monitor,
The shrill of a flat-line,
The hiss of my last breath.


This was the last,
I heard in my life,
Then the unknown void,
Of ice hot nothing surrounds.


Where is she who so stirred my heart?
Who held me close?
Drove a knife into my back,
And a bullet to her brain?


My sin is perceived,
Or perhaps,
Whispered in her ear,
Like a plague of emotion.


By he who seeks his cruel revenge,
I took what was his,
And now he has taken what is mine,
My life, my love.


The warm emptiness of love,
Turning into the cold fullness of death.
I hope she made it far from here,
She, as I, is a victim.


I took her knife,
Twisted it deep.
I took his words,
And carved them on the bullet.




His words killed her,
Not I, not I!
His poison,
The true executioner.


My final loving gesture,
To lay by her side,
Put the gun to my head,
And blow us both away.


Together we died.
