Li'l One - Leaving

I find your love letter on my pillow,
But it only brings tears to my eyes.
My heart no longer quickens at your words,
My heart no longer swells and bursts at our love.
My heart feels deflated and my chest hollow.
My heart died long ago,
And my soul buried the evidence.
I must go now and dig myself out,
Emerge from this life I have buried myself in.
Let life fill my soul and then maybe;
One day my heart will stop hurting and inflate once more.
