Li Ch'ing Chao - A Dream
0 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
Where in the heavens that mingle billowy clouds and
mists of morn
On the River of Stars awhirl go a-flutter a thousand
sails,
Even as one in a dream home-coming to God's abode,
I heard Heaven speak,
Softly inquiring whither was I bound.
I answered: "Long is the way; Ay me, and the day fails:
And for all my love of Poesy scarce a stirring line have
I found.
O'er winds of myriad leagues the Roc into flight would
break.
Winds, be not slowed
Till to the hills of Faëry my bark be borne!"
