Description

The LGM-30 Minuteman is a silo-launched, 3-stage solid-fuel ICBM with a liquid-fueled post-boost stage (“bus”), used to fine-tune the trajectory of the reentry vehicle and/or dispense individual warheads to separate targets. This bus carries in addition to the warheads, penetration aids such as chaff and decoys.
