Lexi Smith - Alone...

They cry but no one cares,
They hug but no one’s there.
They laugh but no one hears,
And the others laugh at their fears.

They sit in anger,
They shake with the pain.
They hate them so badly,
And their efforts to escape are all in vain.

You know about this child,
You know about her pain.
But you don’t help or even smile,
After all, what do you stand to gain?
