Lewis Halstead - Jabbermockery

Description
The teachers looking sad,
The children sprinted through the entrance doors,
Running away, hugging their dad.
“Beware the older children” said Mum.
“Their punches that punish. Their kicks that cut!
Beware their evil one-two-three,
And the terrible salted peanut! ”
He took his box of plasters in hand,
Long time the hurting’s end he sought-
So rested he in the W.C.
And sat awhile and thought.
And with his aching leg he sat,
An 11 year-old, with eyes of flame,
Came hurtling through the toilet door,
And it wobbled as it came.
He thought real fast as it went past,
The acne cream went splattersplat!
He took the cream, and with a gleam,
He went galumphing back.
“And has thou slain the 11 year-old?
Come over here! ” grinned infant boys.
“Oh, happy day! Woohoo! Wahay! ”
They chorused in their joy.
‘Twas Friday, at the end of school,
The teachers looking sad,
The children sprinted through the entrance doors,
Running away, hugging their dad.
