Leslie Alexis - He Made Her
3 Views • Jun 14, 2014
Description
He took of the dust of the acacia plant
And blended it with the almond flower
That her skin is a mix of the two.
For her cheeks red jasper and jacinth
Were pounded to powder and mixed with honey
Then massaged in place until the wind slipped
Off of it; and angels murmured. For her lips,
He collected a field of roses, and hibiscus,
then wrapped them in scarlet yarn,
And slowly placed it upon her face.
Its red leaves the rainbow wanting,
And its feel has the clouds longing...
Her hair is fashioned from the soil.
Its pattern is like a lion’s mane, and roars.
Then for her eyes, he took the agate stone,
With its patterns, and emerald and lapis lazuli,
the topaz and amethyst then placed them
In his heart, where the flames of his being
Made two gems of the many, and they became
Her sight. Now when light shines in them
One sees the blend, or the parts, and they all bind.
He then gave her breath and sent her my way.
