Description

Crouching on the bathroom floor
tiles cold against my knees
don't know how long I've been here
watching this film in my head
the reel scratches with age and dust
Disentangle the chaos!
Make out voices from soundless lips!
Read emotions in dead eyes!
Reanimate static figures!
lifeless and cold

My cry is shapeless
as I burn wounds into my fleah
to sense the senseless

When the pain explodes
then
wanes
it sends me tumbling

A petal drifting on the water
ashes to ashes
dreams to the wind
if you go down deep enough
the eddy whirls you up again

When the fog clears
and the ripples flatten
daylight puts me to shame.
