These bittersweet emotions run over me
Whenever I see you
Tell me, do you ever feel alone
Even with someone to belong to?
Because in your eyes, exists an openness so enduring
And a reality so confusing
That it beckons my heart to a place
Unknown, unfamiliar and grippingly new
As I trace my dreams amongst the lines of your face.
You see, I'm right here And I could give it all to you
Closed eyes, frightened smile. Anticipating the beauty of two.
For sometimes change can be glorious, sparkling as it's insecure
And this love could be victorious
If you allowed yourself to fall into the allure.
