leisha armstrong - Differences

You don't have to like me,
but is it to much to ask,
that you put my feelings first,
and thinnk of yourself last.

You don't have to see things my way,
but maybe if you try,
you won't have to attack me,
with cruel and viscous lies.

The world is made of differences,
of heros brave and true,
there's not just one type of hero,
the don't all look like you.

So why insult the way I am,
In my unique and special way,
I'm just like you after all,
I wake up everyday.

I try to make a living,
facing hardships of this place,
A world where you don't fit in,
If your not skinny with the right face.

So maybe someday later,
or maybe someday past,
you'll look me in the eye,
and this time you won't laugh.
