al ta2ef : Georges Saade Samer Saade launching his electoral campaign in Batroun أبصر بيار جميل النور في السادس من تشرين الثاني 1905 في بلدة بكفيا اللبنانية في كنف عائلة لعبت دورًا أساسًا منذ العام 1540. فقد أُجبر والده وعمّه على الهجرة إلى مصر بعد صدور حكم اعدام بحقهما في العام 1914 بسبب معارضتهما الحكم العثماني ولم يعودا إلى لبنان إلا في نهاية الحرب العالمية الأولى.
بيار جميّل الماروني الكاثوليكي أتم دراسته في اليسوعية. درس الصيدلة في كلية الطب الفرنسية في بيروت حيث فتح صيدلته الخاصة. اهتم بالرياضة وحضر في العام 1936 الألعاب الأولمبية في برلين حيث أعجب بانضباط الأحزاب الإشتراكية ما دفعه إلى تأسيس حزب الكتائب اللبنانية وفقًا لهذه الإنصباطية بعد
