To look back is to freeze in time;
to be fixed, rooted to a moment
that has lived its life.

Do not regret;
do not forget;
but do not look back,
for every moment
is a rebirth,
a life,
and a little death.

Take the lives you live
in every moment -
learn from them
with every indrawn breath.

Circle-spiral ever inward;
eyes turned away
as the new day dawns,
searching for a different light,
a different state of mind
that is impossible to find
and yet following just behind.
