I need to tell you
before I let you go.
I have some secrets,
that I think you should know.

I forgive you for hurting me
because my feelings never died.
I could not let go of the past
even though I tried.

Many nights were spent
with tears from a broken heart.
How can I recover
when my life fell apart?

As I tell you goodbye
I forget the words to say.
A silent tear rolls down my cheek
as I watch you walk away.
