Leak Stops Elevators at World Trade Center, Traps People Inside

Leaks at the World Trade Center in Manhattan sent water cascading down stairways and trapped people inside elevators on September 26.The water came from an air conditioning leak that poured into staircases, triggering the alarm system and halting two elevators in the building</a>.
