Leah Michele - Snow

1: 00 am
As I get ready to go to bed, I see snow fall from a sky coloured red.
Fresh snow on the ground, trees and rooftops untouched.
I open the window. I can smell the cold and hear the wind as it blows the silver snow in the air.
I take a mental picture as I realize I will never relive this exact moment; I will never see, smell, hear or feel any of these things as I do now.
I think, as the trees wave and the wind whistles and howls, what life would be like without moments like this; those moments when you're alone and can enjoy life for what it is and what it isn't, the moments where everything doesn't just seem perfect, but is perfect, the moments some people live to see or die to get.

11: 00 pm
The moon, full.
The sky, purple and blue.
Tired wind whipping.
Icicles dripping.
Not a cloud in the sky,
Snow on the ground
On the streets all around.
How I wish I could go outside and get a better view, or capture the scene in a box for my own, personal viewing, but I cannot. So I sit by my window admiring this moment of lunar perfection.
It's two days before Valentine's Day and to this day I am showing my affection.
