I don't mean it when i say the things i do
It's in the words of my pen that speak the truth
What i feel and what i think stays trapped in my head
Only to be released within the pages of ink
My tongue sounds sour with the words left stale
& in the silence of a room the tears find my cheeks
Alone i can be vulnerable, broken, flawed
Never did i intend it to be this way
I said things of false accuracy that you took in deep
I see the world through different eyes
The broken hearts bleed all the time
But i keep it out, i blind myself
Most of the time
Though sometimes it shows up anyway
And it's all i see
With you there too, a new battle lives
It's always been alive
Just buried deep inside
Now with this pen, can you see
Exactly who I am explained in writing?
I believe in it all, and dream of dreams
Of wings to Neverland and all these things
Today was just a day where i couldn't block it out
All the pain and sadness that people walk about
You crossed my path of the broken and flawed
Im sorry for this war, but im once again blind
You can take my hand and smile
and watch the faieries dance away
