Leading environmentalist shot in DRC

The director of the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been seriously wounded in an an ambush. Emmanuel de Merode, a Belgian prince, was driving through the park when gunmen opened fire on his vehicle. The area is home to the mountain Gorilla, a species under threat from poachers . More than 140 rangers have been killed in the park in the last ten years. Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan reports.
