Some girls want a fairy tale
they want a dream come true
but darling the thing i want
is a long life with you

I want to wake up every day
to your loving face
i want to crawl out of bed
after a warm embrace

I want to wake up children
after a peaceful time with you
i want to hold you close
if just for a moment or two.

I want to come home each day
and work with you side by side
i want us to both be parents
that our children can confide

I want to help with homework
or help you after a bad day
I'd hold your hand, kiss your lips
and whatever else you say

I want to put our kids to bed
adn lay with you awhile;
just knowing that they're ours
will always make me smile

I want to be swept off to bed
where it'll be just you and me
i'll curl up in your arms
and finally be carefree

And no matter if we fool around
or i just fall asleep with you
i guess the main thing i can say
is you are my dream come true
