I had friends to take care of me
and family too
but i never expected
to also have you

You're not what i'm used to-
a guy that'll care-
and somehow i think
that it's not really fair

I know of girls
that date one guy for years
and all they got for it
is wasted tears

and these are all girls
who deserve something good
but for some unknown reason
they don't think that they should

and if they don't deserve it
then why should i?
Not that i'm complaining
cuz i've got the best guy!

But why do i get it?
What did i do?
I guess all i can say is
i don't want to lose you

So i'll cling to you
and not let you get away
cuz you are my world
and my light of each day

And though you are mine
and you say you won't leave
there's just one thing
I can't seem to believe

I can't believe that you're human
cuz you are too sweet
and each day that i'm with you,
you sweep me off my feet.
