Lawyer: Cops denied assault before proper probe
Description
The Perak police denial in assaulting student protesters at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) is "prejudiced" because it was made before proper investigations.
Mohd Khairuddin Othman, lawyer for one of the victims Muhammad Safwan Anang, said this was evident as a statement was recorded from his client only today.
"The Perak police chief's statement is prejudiced... an investigating officer only came to record Safwan's statement at 1pm today," Khairuddin said.
