Everything I've done of late
Has gone awry. I doubt
I doubt myself enough.
I smashed my car.
I lost my job. I drank
Too much on Tuesday,
And got sick outside
My mother's house, yet,
Somehow, as the atmosphere
Appears to crack and
Tumble in, you keep its
Pieces from my head,
And tell me you don't
Share my doubts.
You fed me cheese
And got me laughing,
Made me think that
Life is something more
Than time to be
Endured, and, for
That reason, I repeat,
I wish that you
Would stay.
