I need a shoulder to cry on
To ease my pain
Someone to hold me tight
And tell me it's gonna be all right

I need to be loved and protected
Instead of so miserable and isolated
And I need to feel like someone cares about me
No matter what the situation might be

I need arms around me
To bury my face from the cruel world
And I need to feel like I have a friend
Instead of and outcast
