scars etched into skin
shadows of what lies within
a bloodless body lies on the floor
her childhood friend, alive no more
she screams but no one hears
disappeared she has again
into her hand the cut begins

all alone in a world so full
with lies and deceit in control
of a girl who didn't choose
this life of endless bad news
she screams but no one hears
disappeared she has again
into her arm the cut will go

with the mask she can hide
a lifetime of pure lies
some to her, and some from her lips
hurting those that shouldn't get
she screams but no one hears
disappeared she has again
into her throat the cut will end
