Last US combat brigade leaves Iraq

The last American combat brigade pulled out of Iraq and crossed into Kuwait on Thursday, almost seven and a half years after the US-led invasion ousted Saddam Hussein. 50,000 US soldiers remain however, in an effort to help Iraqi forces provide security to the war-ravaged country that still sees regular bombings.
